Mit dem Austropop ihrer Kindheit im Herzen, schreiben sie Lieder, die uns berühren. Ob Lachen oder Weinen, alles soll sein dürfen und spiegelt eine tragische Komödie des österreichischen Lebens wieder.

MICHAEL o’SHIMPL , THE FIRST EUROPEAN ARTIST TO SIGN WITH AMERICAN LABEL G PLAN MUSIC

Michael o’Shimpl, the first European Artist signed to G Plan Music (a subsidiary of G Plan Media) brings Kinsale, the first single off of his upcoming Album to America from sunshine Ireland. O’Shimpl is an exciting Austrian Musician/Performer and is currently living and working in Kinsale, Ireland, producing fantastical original alt rock love songs, pure lovelorn poetry/lyrics, you can feel the light in the electric guitar melodies. Kinsale, the single is being released worldwide on February 24th, 2015. Kinsale LP is being released worldwide by G Plan Music, a subsidiary of G Plan Media on March 17th, 2015.

o’Shimpl is an accomplished musician and performer, playing electric, acoustic and bass guitars, often with an effects pedal. He is from Austria and has toured extensively in Central Europe, from Austria and Germany to France, Italy and Switzerland playing the major cities of Paris, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Trieste, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna and Graz.
Michael’s music is rooted in inspiration from the alt rock music scene, Counting Crows, Bill Janovitz of Buffalo, Nirvana, Lifehouse, Lydia and Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20. And his New Age sound is in league with Damian Rice, Counting Crows, Lydia, Seven Mary Three and The Fray. He has played in many bands and projects with longtime friend Niki Lerch, particularly, Lurk, Slig, The Skill to Catch a Killer and Tiger Machine amongst others.

He has been living and working in Kinsale, Ireland, and you can feel the Muse of the people and landscape in the single Kinsale. “I was in love, I was in love/ it never worked out like it should”, the music enlivens the day with Summer and the light on sailboats in Kinsale harbour, sunshine rock and love poetry from Michael o’Shimpl.
